Story

Withered Jasmine is a linear visual novel, meaning there are no branching routes. The biggest influence on my writing was Narcissu, which is the first visual novel I ever played and respect highly.
That being said, if you know Narcissu, you can imagine that Withered Jasmine is not a happy tale either...

Main Characters

Alex (Protagonist)
Good-natured, relaxed and a tiny bit lazy are probably the best words to describe Alex. He is definitely preferring a quiet life over anything else. It's not like he is wasting away his days, but it's also not like he has a great drive to follow some big dream. A good book and a hike now and then is all he needs for a good time. But you never know what you can stumble across after some hiking...

Una
Usually Alex does not pay much attention to strangers. But Una struck out for him at once. He has never seen a face more devoid of emotions than Una's.
'What is going on with her?' is the central question Alex asks himself again and again. One look at her made it clear: Something isn't right.
Whatever it is, he wants to help her. But this is not going to be easy.

Her past is locked away in silence.
Her current situation is also a mystery.
How will Alex handle a person who is even more passive than himself? And what will he do when he finds out that Una carries around more emotions than he can possibly handle?

Beth
Her full name is Elizabeth, but if you want to survive the day you better call her 'Beth'. She is energetic, confident and full of life. Or in other words: She is the opposite of Alex. Yet they are best friends (how this ever happened is still a mystery to him).
Never getting tired of pushing Alex forward and speaking freely what's on her mind is exactly what Alex needs in is life, although he would never admit that. He could always rely on her if he needed some advice. Can she help him figuring out what's going on with Una too?

Involved

Currently all writing and programming is done by me. But without music and art it would not be a visual novel. I am happy that I found some amazing people to work with, who help me bring my vision to life.
